Aloe
Botanical Name: Aloe perryi
A perennial Aloe reaching a height of 90cm, this variety pups or suckers profusely and the pups should be removed from the main plant to ensure it grows large leaves. The flowers on Aloe perryi are orange with yellow tips. The fleshy leaves are covered in white spots when young.
Use the gel on burns, sunburn, eczema, fungal infections, insect bites, dry or itchy scalp and to soften and moisturise dry skin.
Growing conditions
Although Aloe will withstand dry periods, they prefer good soil and regular watering, ensure they have very good drainage as they don’t like wet roots. Plant in a sunny to part sun position. Remove the suckers/pups to ensure a large mother plant.
