Botanical Name: Salvia greggi ‘Easter Bonnet’
Salvia ‘Easter Bonnet’ is a small to medium shrub with a compact growth habit. It grows to approximately 40cm by 40cm and flowers throughout the year. The flowers are white with two lobes and a dusting a pink hairs on the tubular hood. This ‘dusting’ is quite distinct, as if a pink powder has fallen and caught on the hairs, but the flower itself is white. The bracts are green with a dash of black on the tips, visible just before they open.

Growing Conditions
Salvia ‘Easter Bonnet’ is one of the many cultivars from Salvia greggii, also known as Autumn Sage. These salvias generally prefer full sun, but may tolerate some shade. Cultivars of S.greggii are usually tolerant of dry soils and are quite drought and frost hardy.
