Hyssop
Hyssopus officinalis
Leaves have a sage-mint flavour, use sparingly in soups, with pulses, meat dishes and salad dressings.
Hyssop is used for bronchitis, upper respiratory tract infections with excessive mucous. It liquefies and stimulates expectoration of thick and congested phlegm.
Other Uses
The oil is used to flavour bitters and liqueurs, such as Chartreuse.
